about

This collection showcases three diverse Irish artists, each lending a unique and creative reimagining of Benny Smiles’ single "When We Touch".

Ex-Le Galaxie synth maestro Fakenamé delivers a floor shaking Italo-Disco interpretation, with lyrical themes around physicality and human connection. Former Enemies band member and producer EHCO treats us to an awe inspiring filmic rework that would make Jon Hopkins proud, while electro-pop junkie Dashoda references the bass tones of New Order’s Peter Hook to bring us a Twin Shadow infused daydream.

The tongue-in-cheek artwork for "When We Touch" has prompted some hilarious reactions on social media, while the new cover for the Reworks collection seems to take the gag a step further...

Track Name: Fakenamé - When We Touch Rework (Fakenamé Remix)
Words are failures 'cause
meaning is dear to me
Broken bridges that lean
and then fall so suddenly

But then I come to
get up and run to you
And then you reach out your hand
and your touch gets serious

Vision's fading
I can't always trust the things I see
False perspectives and tricks of the light deluding me

But when I come to
get up and run to you
And when we reach out our hands
And let our touch get serious

And then we touch
And no more words remain
When you reach out you hand
And let your touch get serious

And when we touch
And no more words remain
Will real love
resume when we touch?
